As I continue through my collection of Street Hawk episodes, I come to The Adjustor:

- I like the name they chose for the "bad cop", Joe Cannon. I wonder if it is a reference to the fact the guy is a loose cannon.

- Joe Cannon (or at least his imposter) is a definate parody of Dirty Harry, and he has the same sort of bad sports jacket thing going like Sledgehammer.

- I really wish we could have had more episodes about the dark figure in New York who was behind the whole thing (we were talking earlier about there not being much material to develop the show further, but a recurring villain would have been a good way to keep it going) It it just me, or does the outline of the evil crime boss on the phone look like Alfred Hitchc*ck?

- It's ironic when Joe Cannon tells Altibelli that he can't tell who is in charge because there's "too much hairspray". Cannon's big curly hairdo probably took more hairspray than all the rest of the department combined.

- Altibelli is supposed to be a "hothead" department chief, yet he is extreemely calm when Joe Cannon fires off truly disrespectful comments directed at him and his department. He is a bit more patient than Jesse & Rachel give him credit for.

- I loved how the accountant escapes by running past the metal detector and letting Joe Cannon get grabbed. Reminds me of The Fugitive. Boy, airport security has changed since then, hasn't it?

- Jesse fires his machine gun through the open car window next to Cannon and what does he do? Does he jump and dive for cover? No, he crosses the path of the bullets and jumps back into the driver seat of the car. Good thinking, Joe!

- I love the thug brothers, I wish we could have had more of them in the show than just two scenes.

- I didn't realize that Norman gave Jesse "abbreviated Hyperthrust" to get him out of the collapsing building. He didn't seem to shoot out of there like he was on Hyperthrust, though.

- Boy, that building sure is tall for a theater! (It's actually a larrge office building or apartment complex)

- Dumb move: Joe Cannon dumps the cash out of the manequin, then proceeds to try and scoop it up into his pockets. With what little time he had, he should have just pushed the cash back into the manequin bust and carried it out of there.

Favorite Quotes:

Jesse to Norman at the restaurant: "Norman, when a beautiful waitress asks you 'Do you need anything else?' and you say 'Uhhh, duuuuuh...' it goes down in the big book as a sin!" (When Jesse says "Uhhh, duuuuuuh..." it totally cracks me up!)

I thought the exact same thing when I saw this episode. He had more hair than anyone but Rachel. Weird line.

This is a favorite of mine also. I love the little falsetto voice he uses too.

Memorable quote:

Altobelli: They're sending one of their detectives out to pick him up...
Jesse: And we're to assist him...
Rachel: In every possible way.
Altobelli: Yeah. What, do you guys work these routines out at home or something?

Interesting expose on the actor, Marjoe Gorter, who played Cannon in this episode.

Interesting man, Marjoe. This is an article about him blowing the whistle on how evangelicals manipulate the masses.

Big Hair, but no hairspray. that's cut really short for Marjoe. This is his hair just washed and tossed.

nowadays its glistening snow white, but looks about as long as it did in The Adjuster.
