Possible new STREET HAWK Model Kit?

Post by pentastar » Thu May 31, 2007 10:30 am

If someone wants to buy me a kit and send it my way, I'd be glad to build it! A few years ago I completed a black '69 Mustang kit for my father-in-law.

Here's some pictures of a '53 Corvette kit I built and modified (including '93 Corvette suspension, motor, and dashboard):

Also, here's some pictures of a '69 Charger kit I built and modified (including '95 Viper suspension, motor, wheels & seats):

I have a command center of my own that I've built, however I'm not going to share it until I get to that point in my diostory :P

Sorry guys!

Hey, Panti, I can't view any of those pics. You have to be a member!
You know what happens to boys who don't share - they sit on the naughty step! SHAME! tut,tut

Hmmm, that's odd...it lets me see the pictures even when I'm not logged into the forum.

Maybe after all the years of American car bashing they've blocked all the British? :P

I got this email from Ewan from that model site "The Street Hawk range was produced by a compnay called MPC. They no longer exist. The model were produced in the early 80's. If your lucky you might find some on eBay or wait till a remake of the series becomes a movie. Don't know if this will ever happen."

They got our hopes up.

Ah, so it was produced? Interesting. 7 years on Ebay and countless memorabilia shows / stores I've never seen one yet. I'm still slightly dubious on that one actually. I think it is a case of "never released" myself. I can only hope I'm wrong and one of us finds one so we can make it! 8-)

Yea I don't think there is one out there, I've been searching online for over 10 years for one and looked in a number of vintage toy stores in NY, but then again I never thought I would find the helmet or the DVD's so I guess there is still hope. I was going to make a toy myself eventually. I have a toy honda dirt bike that I bought a couple of years ago that I want to use. My friend used to work for McFarlane toys and he suggested using modeling clay to fabricate the pieces. I know its going to take some time and a lot of patience.

You'll be interested in following 2fastforyou 's new project then, the thread of which you'll find on the main list. He's about to do just that. Hopefully, it might inspire you to do the same?!

Yes Dan, in the previous days, I prepared my new bike plans, using the scanning sended me from Ducati. I'm always waiting the package from Germany with the Honda XR 400 R base... I hope it arrives ASAP! However, I bought 2 plasticard paper and I'm trying to cut some pieces to built the body.
