Personal thoughts and observations
Author Message
Of the 13 episodes, the last 3 were probably my least favorite. This one seems more reminiscent of the first 10 than any of them. With it being the final episode, at least SH went out almost on the same note that it came in on.

I have never been crazy about the plot, but "Follow the Yellow Gold Road" contains some of my favorite scenes and lines.

Favorite scenes:

Norman yelling down the manhole and the car ride afterward. This scene adds that personal interaction between Jesse and Norman that was missing in some of the latter episodes.

Jesse pulls the fire alarm at the police station to get rid of Phil Some of the latter shows tried to make Jesse the tough guy cop. This scene takes you back to the original Jesse with his playful side and unorthodox approach to getting things done.

Favorite lines:

My all time favorite line in the show:

Norman: If I'd wanted a majority decision, I would have built a bus.

This one I missed until this viewing:

Phil talking to his buddies: We're going to take a shot at trying to catch them.
Abe: With what? Plungers?

Jesse are Norman talking about working without the computer.
Jesse: People break 'em. People fix 'em. We can turn them off. We can turn them on.
Norman: We cannot turn it on.

Another thing I noted in the last three shows it that Jesse is almost always in a coat and tie. In the earlier shows, he dressed more casually in jeans and sneakers most of the time. Maybe there was a change in the office dress code. He was in casual wear in the final scene of "The Arabian".

I do like seeing Norman unravel without his computer. I think this episode shows how Norman's strength comes from technology wheras Jesse's strength comes from his will to fight and overcome.

It is a classic scene where Norman is yelling down the manhole, I have to agree with that.

One thing that threw this episode off was the lack of connection between the gold robbers and any of the characters in the show. Usually there is some sort of connection or interaction between the bad guys and someone in the show. Somehow that lack of connection made the show come off blah (best word I can think of now). They tried to tie in Phil the plumber with the car smash-em-up scene, but it was not personal enough.

2009, according to the poster.
That's way too long for a movie normally to be "leaked." Notice no one has come forward with any more information? The source surely would have had something more to report.
It is someone having a joke. It is easy enough to produce those kind of film posters yourself. There's a standard template. As discussed, the PS job on the bike is commendable, but ...

Oh, come on Dan, don't be such a killjoy. Next thing you're gonna tell me there's no Santa Clause.
