Hi Guys,

probably the last on on the plantet. I have a new black painted Ghibli medium size forsale. Old stock, New in box.

Because of age, the foam is deteriorated inside of the helmet.

Asking $300 plus shipping. comes with clear visor only.

Has anyone measured the retangular black piece (rightside upper if wearing helmet) with and without the clear front lense cover on the helmet that houses the red, green, yellow LED light. Also how thick is the piece and its greatest point?

It's been a while but I have'nt given up on my helmet replica. I have just started on the the add ons again, I was never happy with the first attempt. This time round I going for more detail by casting them in clear resin rather than in vacuform plastic, that worked pretty well but its is difficult to get sharp details. Also this time round I'm using screencaps from the DVD's which are a massive help.

Hi all, well I've finished sculpting the add ons, just refining the mouth piece. In the mean time I have got some very inexpensive LED's that are low power and run off a little battery box which I plan to put inside the helmet. I've just done a quick test using my previous attempts , here are a couple of pics with all three lights on. I wonder what the intended function of the lights were? My guess is green for normal operation, red for infrared, and maybe amber for hyperthrust??

Thanks squilla.
Well I'm having a mother of a job with the improved add ons. I just can't get the mouth mic piece right. Anybody got any ideas what I can use to sculpt it?? I tried clay but it's a very complex shape and the clay dries and warps so it just does'nt work for me.
I have tried to make a mould the upper piece with silicone rubber, did'nt turn out very well so rather than waste resin I'll try again soon. The clear resin I've bought should work well. I've also ordered some black pigment so I should end up with clear for the series helmet, translutent black for the pilot helmet and solid black for the stunt helmet.
BTW I just picked up a large size original black Ghibli with a tinted visor, mint in box, which came with a spare clear visor for night time stunt riding :D
Any help would really be appriciated and may result in me being able to turn out castings for your Ghibli.
Cheers for now, Jon.

I thought the coloured buttons wer for:

Green- Playback
Red - Record
Yellow- Rewind

But then the helmet camera relayed data back to command centre so I might be wrong...
