No problem, a few more. The DVD stills menu has some brilliant pictures and a really clear one of the helmet.

Just allowing the casting resin to cure on the first part of the new helmet add-ons. So I've been playing with the heads-up display simulation in preparation for this years London Film & Comic Con. This is just a very rough try out with the EL panels. For some reason I could not get them in green so I used green sticky-back plastic. I think it looks pretty good as an effect. Not sure if it will work with opening and closing the visor though.

OK, so I used my 34 yr old vacuum former today, and it's on the blink :( . It's ok for a few seconds then it trips the entire electric supply to the house :x . The company are still in business so I'm hoping they can advise me on the issue. Here is what I managed to do, far from perfect but you get the idea. It needed more time under the heat.

Well, here it is at long last. 6 days until I finally get to meet Mr Rex Smith. I hope he approves! It's a happy compromise between pilot and series helmet versions.

Looking great!

I bet the helmet looks wicked in the dark.

Good luck meeting Rex, if you think about it, ask how the darn helmet visor worked opening and closing on it's own.

Working visor, or Hollywood magic on a string.
