No problem. Well I took full advantage of the sun and got the garage cleared out and..... I found some petrol, but I'm guessing it's a bit past it's sell by date and it probably was'nt a good idea but I tried it anyway, needless to say I could not get the bike started . I last kicked it over about a year ago. I've charged the battery but nothing. Is there anything I need to do like clean out the carburetor ?? The gold really pops in the sunshine

Sorry. I know body work and molding, but usually leave the engines to someone else. But like you said, it probably needs the carb(s) removed and bowls/jets cleaned out. Old gas drained from tank and rinsed out. And then 50-100 kicks.
A trick someone told me about was that, if you ever thought you may not be cranking the bike for a long time, you should not turn the bike off with a kill switch but instead turn off the gas and then let the bike turn itself off after a few more minutes once it's starved for gas. This clears most of the gas out of the carbs and so prevents gas from sitting in them and turning to varnish over a couple years.

Well after giving the bike a service and fresh petrol it started on the second kick. The brakes work a treat (that's a good thing! ). It's a bit quick for me 600cc, so easy does it. I did'nt manage to video the run though (not much to show really). The next update will be to do with the body work so stay tuned

Has anyone got a spare hard copy of this photo? Or any idea where I can get one please. I think its the best one of the pilot bike. I need a hard copy so I can get enlargements done. PM me if you can help, many thanks.
