Post Hi
Just to say Hi to everyone.
By way of introduction, I'm a long-term SH fan going back to the 80's and I'm in the forty-something age bracket, although I guess in some ways I've never grown up, as my girlfriend often tells me. I live in Kent, England and I am interested in motorbikes and cars from the 80's era in particular. I am a scientist by profession (mainly chemistry), although things have taken a bit of a downturn in the recession. Luckily I am still working though, for which I'm grateful.
I think this site is a superb source of information on the show and I'm grateful particularly to Josh, but also everyone else for making it such a wonderful site.

Hey Bluemotorfrog!

Sorry about the lag in response, I've been on holiday the last couple weeks.

Welcome to the boards, it's a pleasure to have you visit!

You must have been around your teen years when you first watched the show, right?

Feel free to share any other thoughts you have regarding Street Hawk!

Hi Pentastar and Spyhunter2k,
Thanks for your comments. It's good to be here. I was actually in my early twenties when SH was first shown on TV. At the time I was really into motorbikes; in those days the road bikes tended to be air-cooled with lots of chrome and water-cooled bikes with fairings, like a lot of today's machines, were still a bit rare. The sleek design and modern look of Street Hawk was a bit of a revelation at the time and I'm sure it has influenced bike design since then. I was also into science fiction, new science and technology and liked listening to electronic music. I'd never listened to Tangerine Dream before, so I thought it was great. Street Hawk still brings back great memories and I'm definitely going to get the DVD set when it comes out. I guess I must be one of the older ones on this forum, but it's great that there are others of whatever age with the same interests and it's fantastic that SH is still so popular.

Welcome bluemotorfrog, nice to have another brit on the forum!
Have a look at the DVD post I found a pic of the cover. I read somewhere that it will be in the UK middle of March.
Cheers, Jon1482
