Hi from Cambodia

I signed up a long time ago and forgot all about it. I recently got the series and checked it out and it restored my interest in all things Streethawk.
I'm from London and I'm a huge bike fan in every possible way. I currently own about 20, I've lost count, and overall somewhere around 200 over the years. I'm a sportsbike fan primarily and have had Fireblades, Triumphs and my favourite, an Aprilia RSV Mille (ridiculously fast, once a yellow Lamborgini pulled over to let me pass). Still, I grew up and grew out of it and got more into the enduro stuff. I much prefer the challenge of riding offroad. So, a few years ago, I packed up and moved to Asia. I went to Thailand first and was going to marry my girlfriend. That went a bit wrong when her brother pulled a gun and nearly shot himself in the face and then tried to steal my bike while I was sleeping. Also her mother demanded tons of money. My bike is very important to me, I've had her 5 years and counting and will never, never sell her. I bought her to ride to work and back after my BMW F800gs was stolen. In the end this was better on and off road and just never, ever goes wrong. I rode it to Asia, first around Europe and then through Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India and Nepal. After Thailand didn't work out I moved to Cambodia where I now live and work. I also run a motorcycle rental firm and buy and sell bikes too. In two weeks I'm moving into a bigger apartment where my bikes can come inside with me. I have my bike, a BMW G650X Country, a Suzuki DR800Big and a bunch of smaller things. But now I have time and space to work so I'm buying a project. I've found a bike I like and I'm going to rebuild it into a toy, a modern take on what Streethawk might look like in a reimagined movie. I've always wanted a ground-up project and found one today in the back of a garage.
I'm also a writer and I'm considering writing a novel about a reimagined version of the story. I have some new ideas...
Thanks guys.

An old rat XT250 I found at the back of a shed and am rebuilding. Same bike used by Rambo in first blood and Michael Knight in the 4th season episode, Killer Kitt.

Thanks. Yeah, it sounds crazy but I was rotting away in England and had to do something about it. I met a girl from Thailand and we ended up living together and then she went back. I visited and loved it. She came back to England to study and her visa finally expired so it was my turn to live out there. We toured Europe together for a month. We had a good time but it still didn't feel like it was enough. The crossing through the Middle East was more fun. I rode with a gigantic Polish neanderthal I met online. We didn't hit it off right away because we're very different. After a few weeks we were like brothers and still are. We got into a fight with the police in India (and won), rode through mud and dirt at up to 70mph in Pakistan to keep up with the armed escort van (who came off the road), were arrested by military police in Iran for spying, saw a kid die when he crashed into a wagon without a helmet and met some utterly amazing people who are still my friends now.
Life in Cambodia is lots of fun. There's no real laws here, just shady police who want a bribe. My rent is cheap, beer is 50cent a glass, food is good (if you know where to go) and the ex-pat community is very tight and friendly.
After all that nonsense, the scariest thing I've ever done was my first day working as a teacher. Walking into that class full of kids with no idea what I was meant to be doing was pretty horrible.
