SERIES BIKE FOR SALE & other internet finds

Post by JON1482 » Sat Jan 01, 2011 11:20 am

Hi all, found a couple of interesting bits on the internet.

It might still be for sale, from the advert wording it was listed in 2010, so who is the mysterious seller???

Here is the advert: It was listed for $500, and then $650 in Hunstville AL.

I am selling my early 80's honda XR500. This bike is 1 of 11 made for the TV series Street Hawk, when the show was cancelled me and a buddy won the auction for all 11 bikes. We both keep one and sold the other 9 back in 1985. It has been in storage in Arizona for 25 years and the past 3 years in AL.. The bike has many custom parts, it needs the normal work for a bike stored this long.

This listing has expired.

If it's still up for sale I would love it, depending on shiping costs to the UK of course.

Thanks Keith, I could'nt wait any longer so I have phoned the seller.......no news, yet just a very nice sounding lady on an answering machine, number and email details supplied and everything crossed! I've looked into shipping and it will cost me about £500 to get the bike to the UK. Im 40 this year so this will be my b'day treat :D

Bonjour David, yes it has been sold  . I dont know who bought it and nothing has turned up on this site to tell us anything about it. The seller told me that it had been in storage for many years and was in bad shape.
