Not too shabby! Wheels and swing arm going for powder coating today. Took these this morning.

A new chain will be fitted shortly. This is the only part that did'nt need custom work.

That looks really great Jon. I think you've definitely reached an important milestone in the replica. Now I can't wait to start mine back up.

C'mon Spyhunter lets have a bike build off :D , only kidding! Looking forward to seeing your progress and soon. You planning on a dual exhaust system? Any ideas what size can / silencer you could use? The other headache is the windshield, I know SCOTT has one in his CB kit but he does'nt know if its a modified 'off the shelf' one or a custom shaped one??

Yes I plan on dual exhaust. I don't know what type yet. The exhaust tubes on the pilot bike are almost 3" high/wide, but the inner top corner is cut out, so round universal mufflers of only 2" OD would fit inside the tubes.

I'll try to sort out the windshield as soon as I get the nose molded. I'm afraid that I may damage the nose buck if I try to form it on top of it. I don't think they used an off-the-shelf windshield on the show.

Ok, here they are at long last. I'm very pleased with the outcome. The gold looks a little darker on these pics but in real life it's spot on. A new rear master cylinder has been attached to the modified Honda XL brake pedal and it works a charm. New chain and stainless braided lines set it off a treat. Mike from Dragon Custom Cycles did warn me to go real easy on the front brakes as I'll be thrown over the handle bars
The bike has'nt been turned over in many months so I'll have to get it running next week and give those PM's a try :D

Test run coming soon, believe it or not the recent fuel crisis in the UK means I cant get any unleaded petrol locally for about a week, possibly longer! (I've got a diesel car!)
